Particula Integrates LayerZero, Enabling Cross-Chain Risk Intelligence for Tokenized Assets

Particula Integrates LayerZero, Enabling Cross-Chain Risk Intelligence for Tokenized Assets

New York, March 17, 2026 – Particula, the leading independent risk rating provider for tokenized assets, today announced the integration of LayerZero’s interoperability protocol underpinning the Particula Digital Asset Risk Passport (PDARP). LayerZero operates the market-leading neutral infrastructure for enabling token issuance, value transfer, and smart contract communication across more than 160 EVM and non-EVM blockchain networks.

Through this integration, the PDARP, Particula's proprietary onchain risk credential that carries structured risk classifications, lifecycle records, compliance alert states, and identifiers for tokenized assets, is now omnichain-ready, with availability on any chain supported by LayerZero. A single, authoritative risk credential is now maintained for every network on which an asset is held, traded, or used as collateral.

The Credential Portability Problem

As tokenized fixed income and equities expand across multiple blockchain networks, their risk profile must remain accessible to enable the onchain investor experience. Each chain deployment introduces distinct variables—smart contract environment, network maturity, ecosystem liquidity, and infrastructure risk, that materially affect how the same underlying asset should be evaluated on that network.

The problem is access. A DeFi protocol seeking to evaluate a tokenized private credit instrument active on Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana has no standardized, onchain mechanism to retrieve a risk assessment calibrated to its specific deployment environment—let alone one that is current, machine-readable, and independently issued. Risk data remains offchain, static, or confined to a single network. Protocols are left without institutional-grade risk intelligence at the point of execution.

The Particula Digital Asset Risk Passport addresses this directly: every chain on which a tokenized asset is active carries a corresponding, independently issued risk credential with a rating score calibrated to that network's specific risk parameters - accessible onchain by any protocol, on any supported network, without fragmentation or integration overhead.

How the Integration Works

PDARP is issued and maintained on a canonical hub chain, where Particula's assessment pipeline writes all updates, including rating classifications, lifecycle state changes, compliance flag transitions, and alert events. LayerZero propagates each versioned credential update outward to spoke contracts deployed on every supported network, with independent message verification performed at each destination prior to state settlement.

The architecture follows a hub-and-spoke model, grounded in LayerZero's Omnichain Application (OApp) standard. Spoke chain contracts maintain a locally readable, cryptographically consistent replica of the canonical credential, queryable by any protocol on that network without cross-chain latency at the point of use. Credential updates, triggered by rating actions, lifecycle events, or alert state changes,  are propagated simultaneously across all registered spokes, with each destination chain performing independent verification before the updated state is committed.

The system launches with day-one support across EVM networks and Solana, with further chain expansion underway.

What PDARP Carries Across Chains

PDARP synchronized via LayerZero is a structured, versioned risk record - the institutional documentation layer of the tokenized asset, made portable and machine-readable.

The credential captures five core dimensions of risk intelligence:

  • Live Rating Data: including scores, sub-scores, rating history, red flags, and alerts
  • Pricing Intelligence: such as price discovery signals, liquidity metrics, and valuation inputs
  • Proof-of-Reserve: covering reserve verification, attestation status, and assurance levels
  • Lifecycle Records: spanning issuance history, token and asset identifiers, and control mechanisms
  • Real-Time Alerts: for security events, compliance changes, and performance triggers
"Institutional adoption of tokenized assets requires infrastructure that matches the rigor of traditional finance," said Carsten Hermann, CTO of Particula. "By integrating LayerZero's omnichain messaging infrastructure, we are making the Particula Digital Asset Risk Passport a universal, chain-agnostic standard, ensuring that independent risk intelligence follows the asset across every network and is available at the moment it is needed."
"LayerZero is excited to partner with Particula to scale the risk intelligence layer for tokenized assets", said Cameron Nili, Banking and Capital Markets Lead at LayerZero."This collaboration marks an important step in bringing capital markets onchain by replacing the 'trust' model of legacy finance with a “verify” model that works on every  blockchain."
